You should store your best gel nail polish properly. In this way you prevent the paint from drying out, forming streaks when applied or no longer drying. To prevent this from happening to you, there are a few basic rules that you should follow. We explain what these are in this beauty article.
Store Gel Nail Polish Correctly: You Should Pay Attention To This
To ensure that you can enjoy your gel nail polish for a long time and do not have to worry about gel nail polish that has dried up or turned to play dough, observe the following storage instructions.
Store in the dark: gel nail polish should always be stored in the dark. A cool, dark place is best for this. However, keep in mind that the temperature should be slightly below room temperature. It is, therefore, best to place your gel nail polish bottles in an old shoebox and place it in a chest of drawers or in your closet. Caution: Never put your gel nail polish in the refrigerator. The low temperature makes the gel nail polish go bad all the faster.
Seal Airtight: Another major factor that causes gel nail polish to go bad quickly is air. If air gets into the bottle, the gel nail polish dries out or becomes as tough as play-dough. Therefore, always close the bottle tightly. Remove any nail polish residue from the cap so that the cap fits tightly on the bottle and no air can get inside.
Prevent sticking: If the lids of your gel nail polish bottles are difficult to open, first clean the screw cap. This works best with nail polish remover. Then lubricate the cap with some petroleum jelly and seal the container. The bottle should open easily next time.
